Michael William Burke M.D. is a graduate of the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and Tulane University. He has a dual fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. Board-certified in four disciplines; Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Burke has been a resident of Bradenton since 2012. Prior to that, he would visit often with family on Longboat Key and that’s why he chose our community to practice and raise a family. In January of 2019, Dr. Michael Burke fulfilled his dream and opened his own practice called Gulf Coast Pulmonary and Sleep here in Bradenton, Florida.
Dr. Burke is affiliated with Blake Medical Center and Manatee Memorial Hospital. He is a member of The American College of Chest Physicians, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, Manatee County Medical Society, American College of Physicians, and American Chemistry Society.
On a personal note, he is an avid volunteer for various charities and a scoutmaster for the local troop. He is an Eagle Scout and enjoys camping, fishing and scuba diving which also made Florida a wonderful choice to resided with his wife and raise his young son.
